Thymus praecox ‘Minor’ groeit laag en vormt een dicht, groen tapijt. In de bloeiperiode verschijnen er veel kleine roze bloemetjes die heerlijk geuren. Ideaal tussen stapstenen, in een rotstuin, border of als bodembedekker. De planten worden geleverd in potmaat 11 cm en hebben een hoogte van ongeveer 15 tot 25 cm. Extra voeding is meestal niet nodig, maar een kleine hoeveelheid tuinmest in het voorjaar kan helpen. GiftigheidKruiptijm is niet giftig voor mensen, honden en katten. Het is een veilige en fijne plant voor een diervriendelijke tuin.
