Sambesi is een laagblijvende, geurige kruidenplant met opvallend geelgroen blad. Wrijf even over de blaadjes en geniet direct van de heerlijke citroengeur. Perfect voor in potten, borders, kruidentuinen en tussen stapstenen. GiftigheidCitroentijm is niet giftig voor mensen en is een eetbaar kruid. Ook voor huisdieren is de plant doorgaans niet giftig. Laat honden en katten er wel niet te veel van eten, omdat grote hoeveelheden kruiden soms maagklachten kunnen geven.
