2-way memory function: nitinol spring extends when heated to 50C (122F), and pullscontracts when cooled to room temperature or below. 0.7mm wire; 9mm spring diameter; 16mm compressed length when cold; 30mm expanded length when hot Two way nitinol spring exerts force in both directions depending on its temperature. It pushes open when heated to 50C or more, and pulls shut when cooled below 30C. The pushing force is about double of the pulling force. Longer sections of this spring uncut are available, up to 55mm length cold. Contact us for custom lengths.",
