Compact IR Remote Decoder Tester

A compact, battery-operated infrared remote decoder tester designed for accuracy and simplicity in AV diagnostics. Its white plastic body houses a responsive button array and monochrome LCD screen. Operation begins with a 3-second press of the switch button to activate automatic decoding mode (displaying 'A'). The mode button toggles between automatic (A), manual (H), and contrast (F) functions. In manual mode, directional buttons allow progressive selection among IR formats. Ideal for verifying IR output from remotes used with projectors, TV boxes, and other AV sources, it helps isolate whether the issue lies with the remote, the IR receiver, or signal path interference—without requiring advanced equipment or technical expertise beyond basic familiarity with IR concepts.
