The special flame color of each elements seen in the flame reaction experiment is the color of the spectral line. We should not choose the material with dark color. Otherwise, it will cover the flame color and interfere with the inspection. Platinum is a precious metal. Its chemical properties are quite stable. It is not oxidized in the air and insoluble in common acid and alkali salts. Can be used as an inert anode for pure flame color reaction. The experimental results are perfect.
