The hemp of this bag is strong, it maintains humidity well but does not retain water, due to being a porous fabric. One of the problems of germination is that the seeds remain puddled in water, which rots them, but this cannot happen in a bag, since its entire surface allows drainage and also makes it easier for them to remain aerated. Due to its characteristics, in addition to germinating, the hemp bag is perfect for filtering vegetable milks, smoothies and juices. The seeds suitable for germinating in the hemp bag are: alfalfa, fenugreek, radish, kohlrabi, red clover, red cabbage, broccoli, sunflower, mung. Mucilaginous seeds should not germinate in the germination bag (these seeds are: arugula, mustard, basil, watercress). It is recommended to germinate seeds: put the seeds in the bag and submerge it in water, leaving it to soak for a few hours (the time will depend on the type of seed). Two or three times a day, soak it in water for 1 minute. Hang the bag where it best suits us to drain. In 4 or 5 days, we will have our sprouts ready to drink. To filter vegetable milk: once the seed or dried fruit has been crushed together with water, we can strain it through the bag, so as not to leave sediment in the vegetable milk. Also, it is perfect for straining smoothies and separating the pulp. The sprouts are kept in the fridge for several days, preferably in a closed container.
